Whalley Home Improvements, which launched earlier this year, is going from strength to strength with its team of skilled tradesmen and world class products
Having been inundated with enquiries and orders, Whalley Home Improvements founders Graham Fielden and Emma Hodgkinson, are delighted to announce they are expanding their team.
“We couldn’t have wished for a better start,” says Emma, who worked for more than six years for world-leading manufacturer, Ultraframe, in Clitheroe. “It’s going really well and we are so busy!”
Whalley Home Improvements offers the very best in window and door fitting, building construction and a full project management service.
Graham, of long-established joiners Frank Fielden and Son, heads up the joinery side of the company, overseeing the installation of windows, doors, kitchens, tailor-made staircases and pergolas. From listed buildings, which may require bespoke wooden windows and doors, to modern home extensions, Whalley Home Improvements will oversee your project from conception to completion.
“Whalley Home Improvements were brilliant. They were really professional and did a great job!“
The line-up of first-class manufacturers featured at Whalley Home Improvements include Rockdoor, Rehau, Ultraframe, which manufactures globally-renowned roof systems, as well as top quality products from Affordable Window Systems, which manufactures aluminium and flush sash windows, and Pearl Window Systems’ stunning Signature Collection.
If homeowners choose windows from Pearl’s Signature Collection, in connection with Corgi Fenestration and Whalley Home Improvements, they get a direct manufacturer’s 10-year warranty on all window parts, including things such as handles and hinges.

• Stable doors
• Conservatory roofs by Ultraframe
• Single story extensions
• Full build conservatories and orangeries
Specialising in orangery construction, extensions, conservatory roof replacement, and fitting windows and doors of all different styles and materials, Whalley Home Improvements are perfect for any project no matter how large or small and they are fully CORGI Fenestration accredited too!
Emma explains: “The skilled team at Whalley Home Improvements are all extremely experienced and familiar with products manufactured by the likes of Ultraframe and Rockdoor.”
Over the past few months, Whalley Home Improvements have been working on a variety of projects throughout the region including a replacement roof on a conservatory at a detached property in Wilpshire. Homeowner Deborah, explains: “The conservatory was around 17 years old and I really wanted to be able to use it all year round, but the old-fashioned polycarbonate roof made it cold in winter and too warm in summer.
“Whalley Home Improvements replaced it with a tiled roof with two full glass panels to make it light and airy. I also had the double doors, leading into the conservatory, removed to make it open plan. I was worried it wasn’t going to be warm enough but it’s absolutely perfect! It has transformed the conservatory, which I now use all the time!
“Whalley Home Improvements were brilliant. They were really professional in their communication and they do what they say they are going to do. They did a great job!”
Emma adds: “Deborah’s dilemma was fairly typical. Many homeowners find that the temperature varies too much with the old-style polycarbonate roof – the Ultraframe roof system provides a perfect solution.”
From initial contact to final fitting, the experienced, knowledgeable team makes sure all projects are finished to the highest of standards and that customers are fully satisfied.
“It’s absolutely perfect. It has transformed the conservatory, which I now use all the time!”
At the start of each project Whalley Home Improvements’ Bev Lea ensures all the work is carried out to plan, commissioning in-house technical surveyors Brian Clews and Mike Taylor, who have many years’ experience in the trade. Once the order is placed Bev will organise a fit date and select individual tradesmen or specific teams to work on the project.
Emma concludes: “We know how important it is to meticulously plan every project so that everything runs smoothly. Communication between us and the customer is also key and because we have such an experienced team working with trusted, quality manufacturers, we aim to deliver each project on time and within budget.”
